Resthaven Community Services support older people and their carers in the community.

We provide practical support for older people and their carers to:
- Remain living at home
- Stay independent and in charge of their own life
- Keep in touch with family, friends and the community
- Keep leading a healthy and fulfilling life
- Keep contributing to the community

In Home Care
Support for older people who want to stay living at home, provided in-home by trained Resthaven home support workers.
Respite and Support for Carers
Resthaven supports carers of older people to have a planned rest or break (respite) from their caring role, and to maintain their own physical and emotional health.
Social Support and Advocacy Services
Most of our in-home Community Services include social support and advocacy as components of service provision. Resthaven also has specific services that focus on social support and advocacy.
Health and Wellbeing
Resthaven provides services that support older people to be independent in their daily living, and to build on their strengths.
Professional Nursing and Allied Health Services
Resthaven’s nursing and allied health services aim to improve quality of life for older people living in the community (including residents in low level care residential services), through rehabilitation, maintenance and re-training to cope with the activities of daily life, and provision of clinical nursing and allied health services to people living at home.
Resthaven also offers specialised services for:
- People of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander background
- People of Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) background
- Veterans
- People who have dementia
