 Residential Services
Resthaven operates residential aged care facilities at locations across South Australia.
Residential Services are provided in independent living units, permanent respite rooms, low care rooms (hostel), including dementia specific rooms, and high care rooms (nursing home). Specialised dementia care is available at some sites.
Resthaven also offers Community Services to support older people and their carers in the community. For more information on these services, please visit the Community Services page.
Tours of residential facilities are conducted regularly at each site.

Rights and Responsibilities
Rights
Resthaven residents and clients have the right to:
- be treated as an individual
- be treated with dignity and respect
- nominate one or more advocates to speak or act on their behalf or be with them when liaising with Resthaven staff
- be involved in all decision making relating to the services received
- maintain privacy and confidentiality
- access recorded personal information
- gain fair and equal access to services irrespective of country of birth, language, culture, race or religion
- bring compliments and complaints to the attention of Resthaven personnel without fear of reprisal

- have an interpreter
- have regular reviews of service.
Responsibilities
Resthaven residents and clients and their advocates are responsible for:
- alerting staff regarding any changes or cancellations as early as possible
- participating in developing an individual service plan
- ensure that any Resthaven equipment is kept in good order
- treat Resthaven staff with dignity and respect
- contacting Resthaven staff through appropriate channels (it is not appropriate to contact staff on their personal phone or at their home)
- maintaining a safe environment if Resthaven staff work in their home, and reporting any hazards to staff.
