    Community Services – COVID-19 Update

Resthaven Community Services provide essential services and continue to support people living at home.

Resthaven staff will contact clients to discuss their choices and preferences regarding the support they choose to receive as restrictions ease.  Anyone wishing to access aged care and support at home is encouraged to call 1300 13 66 33 to enquire about options currently available.

An information sheet and an infographic for older people who may have an aged care worker visiting them at home, are available for download here.

Some social group and/or exercise group activities of no more than ten people have recommenced. Maintaining social distancing requirements, good hand hygiene and changes in processes to ensure safe group environments are being implemented.

We continue to monitor the evolving government directions about the size of social gatherings, as this directs our maximum group size. This then needs to be matched with the capacity to achieve social distancing.

Particular rules for operating gyms will be applied in our exercise and gym equipment use.

There are no group excursions at this stage, and supporting socially isolated people at home remains an important focus.
