Our residential care facility at Westbourne Park is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to work in a caring and supportive environment focused on delivering quality care to older people.

Applicants must be a Registered Nurse with AHPRA and experienced in contemporary practices in aged care. A working knowledge of the aged care accreditation process including experience in ACFI and documentation, together with experience in providing therapeutic massage is desirable.

Currently we have shifts available in both high and low care areas, including am and pm shifts, relief and holiday cover.

We are currently seeking applications for a Clerical Support person for Community Respite Services located at Marion.
 
To be successful you will have empathy for older people, excellent customer service and communication skills, with previous experience in reception and clerical duties together with the ability to interact with a wide range of people.

You will have:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to intermediate level
  • Minimum typing speed of 45wpm
  • Provision of clerical services including cash handling
  • Data management and financial reconciliation skills
  • Experience in front reception and switchboard
  • A flexible attitude and willingness to undertake a diverse set of tasks

Previous experience in a health related environment and familiarity with CIM computer applications will be well regarded but not essential.

The Lifestyle Assistant is an integral member of the lifestyle team and helps with the planning and organising of activities that are designed to maintain and improve the quality of life for residents.

You will have relevant experience in an aged care setting or similar environment, the ability to implement a range of activities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and basic computer skills.

To be successful in this position you will be a caring, team-oriented person with a genuine interest in assisting older people to enjoy daily activities.

Experience in providing leisure and health program services in a residential care facility and or Certificate III in aged care work (or relevant qualification), is desirable.

Duties of the role include administrative tasks such as maintaining the computerised client database and assisting the Community Coordinators with rostering, and timesheet calculations.

This position would ideally suit an applicant with a community services background and an understanding of the needs of older people.

Experience and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) together with Certificate III Community Services (Aged Care) or related Health Service field and a current driver’s licence, with use of own vehicle is essential for this position.

Familiarity with aged care packages and the ability to speak Italian would be an advantage.

You will have familiarity with the Aged Care Standards and will possess empathy and understanding towards the needs of older people together with proven case management and program coordination experience, ideally in Community Aged Care Packages.

Key responsibilities involve the assessment, review and delivery of flexible services to frail older people living in the community. You will provide support and supervision to staff and possess sound computer skills, effective organisational and communication skills.
