After 15 years, Community Services Manager Liz steps down
After 15 years in the job, Resthaven Limestone Coast Community Services Manager, Liz Southall, is stepping down as manager as she transitions to retirement – leaving this career opportunity open to the right person!
Resthaven Executive Manager Community Services, Sue McKechnie, says, ‘Whoever takes over from Liz will have big shoes to fill, that’s for sure!’
‘Liz, a Limestone Coast local, has been the Manager at Resthaven Limestone Coast Community Services for almost the full period of the existence of the services, which commenced in 2004.’
‘Over that time, she has led the team to develop Resthaven’s range of high quality in-home services, supporting older people to live independently in their own homes throughout the region.’
‘Originally known as Resthaven Naracoorte Community Services, since 2005, Liz has overseen major expansion, as the service has grown, and continues to grow, in response to demand.’
‘This includes the opening of an office in Millicent in 2008, a larger office in Naracoorte in 2011, a Mount Gambier outreach office in 2019 (pictured), and, most recently, moving into a new, larger office at 11 George Street, Millicent, in August 2021.’
‘Throughout all this expansion, Liz has brought her commitment to excellence in service delivery and clinical services to our clients, and I extend to her my great appreciation and thanks.’
‘Liz will continue to manage the service and support the transition to the new Manager over the next few months, before taking up an ongoing part time role with Resthaven.’
