Aged care opportunities in the Limestone Coast
On 7 September 2021, the Limestone Coast Local Health Network, Regional Development Australia Limestone Coast, City of Mount Gambier, Study Adelaide and UniSA invited Resthaven to meet forty-seven international students.
These students are currently undertaking their studies in health and allied health and are particularly interested in gaining employment in the Limestone Coast.
The students visited many towns in the area over a three-day bus tour, including Naracoorte, Millicent and Mount Gambier, where Resthaven offers services.
‘We spoke with the students when they visited Millicent and Mount Gambier, chatting with them about Resthaven and why a career in aged care is so valuable, especially now,’ says Recruitment Coordinator, Nathan Solly.
‘This kind of recruitment expo is important for us to be a part of, as we have a variety of opportunities available with both Resthaven Limestone Coast Community Services and at Resthaven Mount Gambier at any given time.’
‘It is also important for continued growth in Resthaven’s diversity plan. We encourage international students to apply!’
Resthaven Mount Gambier Manager Residential Services, Belle Kerr, also met with the students, discussing the various opportunities currently available, and the benefits of working for Resthaven.
‘It is always good to meet students who are genuinely interested in what we do, and who are essentially the future of aged care and health care,’ Belle explained.
