    Anzac Day across Resthaven

This week, Resthaven residential and community services sites supported residents and clients to commemorate Anzac Day in a variety of ways.

At the residential homes, moving services were held, but in adapted formats, so as to adhere to important social distancing requirements.

Displays were created in honour of the ANZACs, with many residents contributing artwork, photographs, and memorabilia.

At Resthaven Leabrook, volunteer, Bronwyn, made a special wreath to be used during the site service.

Community services sites came up with their own initiatives, such as Resthaven Marion Community Services, who decorated the bus stop outside their site at 34 Finniss Street, Marion, with a wonderful remembrance poppy display.

At Resthaven Northern Community Services, their reception sign became a beautiful remembrance tribute.

CEO, Richard Hearn, says in his update this week,

Lest we forget those who have served our country, who are living examples of how great challenges in life can have great responses, building resilience and strengthening communities. People come through difficult times together, building and re-building.

Well done to all Resthaven staff for supporting our residents and clients on this very special day.
