Need some time out? Beachside respite now at Victor Harbor

On Wednesday 14 September from 10am–2pm, Resthaven Murray Bridge Hills & Fleurieu Community Services will hold an open day to showcase their newest service offering — a beachside respite cottage for older people at 1-3 Newland Street, Victor Harbor.

Assistant Manager, Tanya Boakes, says, ‘A short stroll to the beach, Newland House is available for short term, overnight, individual and group stays for older people, giving family carers a break from their caring role.’

‘Located in the heart of Victor Harbor, there are a large range of activities and eateries to explore — there really is something here for everyone’.

‘Resthaven’s caring staff help to create a homely, welcoming atmosphere, whilst ensuring all individual needs are catered for.’

Subsidised respite (daytime only) is available for carers of older people through the Commonwealth Home Support Programme. Private and Home Care Package options are also available.
