    Resthaven Bellevue Heights redevelopment update

The first stage of the two year, $27m transformation of Resthaven Bellevue Heights at 47 Eve Road, is now complete.

Manager Residential Services, Leanne Spencer, says, ‘Several areas are now finished, and are looking beautiful.’

‘Recently, Stage 1 (twelve new rooms) was handed over to Resthaven by Sarah Constructions. Residents are now able to move into the new, modern extension.

‘The new area takes advantage of the amazing views of Sturt Gorge, with artwork and new furniture giving a warm, cosy, and modern look.

‘Stage 2 has commenced, which involves demolition of Manson Lodge, and construction of 23 new rooms, including a new service area comprising kitchen, laundry and staff areas.’

‘Temporary facilities for these have been built, to ensure there are no interruptions in service provision.’

‘A big change is the temporary relocation of reception, and a new site entrance throughout Stage 2.

‘Internal refurbishment works will continue from late October.’

‘The retirement living village communal area, “Gum Tree Lodge,” will undergo renovations in November.’

‘Finally, our new circular driveway is nearing completion. The new roadway system will be a one-way traffic flow only. The new roadway is the entry point, and the old roadway is the exit point. Signage is in place to avoid confusion.’

‘The entire redevelopment project is scheduled to be complete in August 2023.’

‘I know that these major projects can cause frustrations at times, and I encourage residents and families to continue to speak with me if they have any concerns.’
