Berri Office for Resthaven Community Services

The new office base for Resthaven’s growing Riverland community aged care services will be the old State Bank Building in Berri.

Resthaven Executive Manager Community Services, Sue McKechnie, says, ‘I am very pleased that Resthaven has secured the landmark art-deco building at 7 Wilson Street, Berri. Resthaven continues to expand in the Riverland, and for some years, we have been overflowing our current Loxton office at 60 East Terrace.

‘Loxton has been a great location for us to establish our Riverland Community Services over the past ten years, but now we simply need more space in which to operate.

‘People in Loxton can be assured that we will continue to offer our range of in-home aged care and support services, support for veterans and will soon be able to offer more social support programs.

‘Plans are currently lodged with the Berri/Barmera council for building work to upgrade the new premises at Berri to provide office space, a social space and a Regional Assessment Service office.

‘We hope to move into the new premises mid-year, where we will continue to support older people and their carers in Loxton, Berri, Barmera, Renmark, Waikerie and throughout the Riverland.’
