Channel TEN film Resthaven Marion

On Thursday 10 May, there was great excitement at Resthaven Marion, as the gardens were filmed for a new television program to feature on Channel TEN in September this year.

TEN’s Australia by Design – Landscapes – is created in conjunction with the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects, and will showcase 50 of Australia’s best landscape designs, including Resthaven Marion’s Warrawee Gardens.

The six-part series features everything from parks and open spaces to urban design and infrastructure to private gardens, examining what makes each landscape different and what problems they are trying to solve.

Resthaven has worked extensively with Design Well landscape architects at many sites, and some gardens have won international design awards. Tara Graham Cochrane, the principal landscape architect, was interviewed by fellow landscape architect, Sharon Mackay, for the program.

Resthaven Marion Lifestyle Coordinator, Karen Neighbour, spoke about the benefits of the garden for residents, several of whom also joined in the filming (in between showers!).
