Christmas across Resthaven

Throughout December, all twelve Resthaven residential aged care homes held their annual Christmas Luncheons, in celebration of the festive season, and to spread some Christmas cheer.

At each site, residents enjoy a traditional, three-course Christmas meal with all the trimmings.

These events are an opportunity for site communities to come together and share the spirit of Christmas together, as many residents will spend Christmas day with their family. For those who stay on site, staff make Christmas day extra special for them. It is a lovely end to the year, before welcoming in a new one.

Resthaven CEO, Darren Birbeck, and Executive Manager Residential & Retirement Living, Tina Cooper, aim to attend the luncheons, and enjoy chatting with residents, staff and volunteers.

The Housekeeping staff prepare well in advance to provide residents with a delicious spread, with many positive comments received from residents.

Of course, a Resthaven Christmas Luncheon would not be complete without a visit from ‘Father Christmas’, who always stops to chat and hand out gifts to each resident.
