Christmas Begins at Resthaven Northern Community Services

Clients at Resthaven Northern Community Services have begun with their Christmas preparations, welcoming a special visitor from the North Pole, and the Christmas spirit of a certain staff member.

Manager, Karen Hammond, says, ‘clients were all very excited to welcome someone special on-site – with the identity having been kept a secret for a while.’

‘Coming into December, we decided it was time to reveal that our guest, who has travelled far and wide to reach our office, is Mr Elf on the Shelf!’

‘Mr Elf on the Shelf of course went through the appropriate protocol of quarantining for 14 days before being welcomed on-site.’

‘Our guest has brought a lot of joy to everyone here on-site, as clients are eager to learn of his new location each morning.’

Staff have been busy building the site’s Nativity Set, all thanks to Home Support Worker, Amanda.

‘Much to everyone’s surprise, our long-standing Nativity Set stable vanished into thin air! Amanda came to the rescue, putting in a lot of effort in crafting a stable worthy of a magnificent display.’

‘Amanda’s kind gesture reminds us what Christmas is truly about.’
