‘Christmas in July’ feast for 8th Birthday
On 17 July, Resthaven Mount Gambier celebrated their eighth birthday with their annual ‘Christmas in July’ feast at the home at 24 Elizabeth Street, Mount Gambier.
Lifestyle Coordinator, Trudyanne Bedson, says, ‘Residents thoroughly enjoyed their Christmas lunch, which included roast turkey with gravy and cranberry, sauce, roast vegetables, and all the trimmings.’
‘Our new Manager, Charmane Hill, who commenced at the start of July, welcomed everyone to the feast, and helped serve residents, along with other staff and volunteers.’
‘There were Christmas carols playing, and staff dressed in their best Christmas jumpers.’
‘Residents and staff alike all enjoyed pulling their bonbons, and happily donned their Christmas paper crowns.’
‘There was lots of laughter and banter in the hall as we enjoyed lunch together, it was wonderful.’
‘The feast was topped off with a delicious dessert of Christmas pudding with brandy custard and ice cream.’
‘Thank you to everyone who came along to help us celebrate Christmas in July!’
