Colours of Life, Better Together
Recently, we have been holding a number of volunteer celebration events to show our gratitude and appreciation of the support provided by Resthaven volunteers.
Manager Volunteer Services, Stacey Thompson, says, ‘We have been fortunate to be able hold these events in external venues and transform the spaces filled with vibrant colour.’
‘Across Resthaven, residents, clients and staff created works of art, including paper chains galore—Jenny Haby [Resthaven Marion Lifestyle Assistant] describes the chains as “waterfalls of colour”.’
‘These have been a wonderful reflection of this year’s theme, “Colours of Life, Better Together”. We are grateful for the unique attributes each volunteer shares, and we are better together—symbolised by the chain links.’
‘Whilst each and every day we appreciate volunteer support, it is really great to come together in this way and celebrate with volunteers.’
‘In September, we enjoyed celebrations in Murray Bridge, Port Elliot and Adelaide, and we look forward to celebrating with volunteers in Mount Gambier this Friday!’
Resthaven welcomes more volunteers.
