Community Garden Club welcome Bunnings donation

On Tuesday 3 May, Resthaven Northern Community Services, welcomed a special visit from staff at Bunnings, Munno Para West.

As part of their Bunnings Community Program, they came along with much-needed gifts for the Community Garden Club on-site, to be able to continue the great work they have been doing.

Assistant Manager, Kelly Ainsworth, says, ‘They arrived with a cart full of goodies to spruce up our courtyard, and provided us with many winter veggies to grow, as well as some beautiful hanging pots and flowers.’

‘They even gave everyone new gloves, and left us with enough to keep everyone going as more and more gardening enthusiasts join!’

The event started with a lovely morning tea, and everyone arrived early to prepare for the planting workshop, led by the Bunnings team.

‘Clients, Margaret and Dawn, our founding Community Garden Club members, were delighted with the turn out, as everyone rallied to support the club.’

‘Clients from our Men’s Group and Games Group also participated in the event, popping in to show their support.’

‘Everyone worked so hard to get this club up and running, so to have other clients partake in the day meant so much to them.’

‘The club was grateful for the kind donation offered by the Bunnings Community Program.’

‘It was an amazing morning, sharing in the spirit of our social community!’
