• Construction underway at Resthaven Aberfoyle Park

Construction is progressing at pace, at the site of the new Resthaven residential aged care service, at Hub Drive, Aberfoyle Park.

‘The superstructure is nearly complete, with external cladding, roofing and internal walls being installed and erected,’ says Emmet O’Donovan, Manager Buildings & Capital Projects.

‘Locals have been interested in the works, observing the two on-site cranes lifting the pieces of wall structure into place.’

‘Construction of Resthaven Aberfoyle Park is expected to be completed in mid to late 2018.’

‘The home will accommodate 100 older people in single rooms with ensuite bathrooms, and will also offer around 100 long term, local jobs.’

Ideally located adjacent to shops, schools and a retirement village, the development includes many environmentally responsible features, such as grey water recycling for garden watering, courtyards that maximise light, and energy efficient design features.
