    COVID-19 Update – Visiting Resthaven residential aged care homes

    The South Australia Emergency (Residential AgedCare Facilities No 12) (COVID-19) Direction 2020 came into effect on 5 November 2020.

    The changes in the above Direction include:

    • There is no longer a restriction to the number of visits a resident receives on a particular day,
    • A person visiting a resident may enter the home when they:
      • ordinarily live in South Australia at, or near a South Australian border, or
      • are ordinarily a resident in Victoria within 70kms of a South Australian border
    • Individuals providing nursing, personal care, allied health and medical Services no longer need to wear a surgical mask,
    • Personal care assistants no longer need to work at only one residential site.

    Visiting Arrangements:

    With the restriction to visitor numbers and visits per day now being relaxed Resthaven has reviewed visiting hours. As a result, extended visiting hours will apply from Tuesday 10 November 2020:

    • Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 10am – 4pm
    • Tuesday and Thursday: 10am – 4pm and 6pm – 8pm
    • Saturday: 1pm – 5pm
    • Sunday & Public Holidays: 1pm – 3pm
