    The Delights of Mypolonga

On Friday 30 August, the Resthaven Murray Bridge, Hills & Fleurieu Community Services ‘Support Shed’ group hopped aboard for a bus trip to Mypolonga.

Program Assistant, Jenna Gamma, says, ‘First up, the group visited “Aussie Apricots,” where we enjoyed a presentation about the production of their products, along with some samples their delicious confectionery.’

‘The group then made their way to the Mypolonga Primary School Shop, where students sell items made in the classroom, along with locally made crafts.’

‘Having picked up some keepsakes from our visit, we then stopped off for a picnic lunch, before travelling to the Buffalo Dairy.’

‘Here, the group enjoyed a tour of the facilities, and even got to pat some adorable Buffalo calves.’

‘The last stop of the day was Rio Vista Olives, where they grow their own olives to process into a delicious range of olive oils.’

‘We were delighted to taste test some award-winning olive oils, with group members finding the range of different flavours most interesting and enjoyable.’

‘It was a great day out, and we can’t wait to do it again.’

‘Thank you for having us, Mypolonga!’
