New Friendships Found at Resthaven Malvern
Resthaven Malvern ‘newbies,’ Mrs Jenny Last and Mrs Yvonne Revell have become fast friends – and neighbours – in their new home at Resthaven Malvern.
Jenny and Yvonne moved into adjacent rooms at the home at 43 Marlborough Street, Malvern, in late 2019, and quickly became good buddies.
Jenny says, ‘We were lucky to get in here, it’s excellent, the whole thing is excellent.’
‘Everyone is so nice.’
‘I go on all the bus trips – scenic tours, a trip to Monarto Zoo – you know you’ll always get something great.’
An Unley local all her life, Jenny grew up in Westall Street, just four streets away from Resthaven Malvern; it’s no surprise she is so at home there.
‘It’s nice when you know everyone,’ she says. ‘My family visits often, and takes me to the beach, or up to the hills.’
‘Friends come and pick me up and take me out.’
Speaking of friends, Jenny can’t speak highly enough of her Resthaven ‘bestie,’ Yvonne, and it appears the feeling is mutual.
The pair are often found walking around Resthaven Malvern, enjoying the courtyard gardens or the various communal areas.
They were seated together at the Resident Christmas Luncheon in December 2019, where they enjoyed a good laugh over their traditional, three-course meal.
And they see each other every day, as their rooms are right next to each other. Win-win!
Resthaven Malvern is just one of Resthaven’s twelve high quality residential aged care homes, which are also located at Aberfoyle Park, Bellevue Heights, Craigmore, Leabrook, Marion, Mitcham, Murray Bridge, Mount Gambier, Paradise, Port Elliot and Westbourne Park.
