Hats off to volunteers!
On 2 May, Resthaven Leabrook celebrated the first of many events to thank volunteers for their engagement, heart, time, and talent, and the difference this makes in the lives of people at Resthaven.
Everyone joined in with the event theme, Hats off to volunteers! Many interesting, colourful and elaborate hats were on show as everyone enjoyed high tea, including ‘hatted’ tea cakes. One volunteer even wore the hat she had made especially for the same event ten years ago, which shared the same theme.
Together Resthaven Leabrook Manager, Mark Bednall and Stacey Thompson, Manager Volunteer Services, presented appreciation awards to volunteers for their years of service.
