‘Hooked on Book’ club begins at Resthaven

Resthaven Northern Community Services is proud to present a new initiative, the ‘Hooked on Book’, book club!

Manager, Karen Hammond, says, ‘Clients were very excited to trial this social group in December, working in conjunction with the Book Club Program at Playford Council.’

‘To kick things off, we met at the Playford Library, where participating clients received their first book and official membership.’

‘The title, “Letters from the Past”, by Erica James, was chosen by Home Support Worker, Amanda, who will be supporting this program. The next title will be a group choice.’

‘Client, Dawn Reed, loves her books. She truly was in her element and is very excited for this coming year.’

‘Let’s hope everyone can keep up with her!’

‘We are overjoyed to get this program rolling, COVID-19 permitting, and look forward to encouraging and inspiring budding readers in 2022!’
