Resthaven Port Elliot Care Coordinator, Robyn Dawes, enjoys working with a vibrant team in an unbeatable location.

‘I enjoy coming into work every day and knowing that we all do the best we can do, and the residents, clients and families all see that which is heart-warming,’ Robyn says.

‘I started working here in June 2020 as Relieving Care Coordinator and was recently appointed to the full-time Care Coordinator role when the position opened up due to an internal promotion,’ says Robyn.

‘The best part about working at Resthaven Port Elliot is the tranquillity that I feel walking into work every day, and seeing how that reflects on the staff, residents and clients’ everyday lives.’

Robyn values the high level of job security and safety that the organisation provides staff.

‘The job security here is outstanding, especially coming into a new job amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, which has seen a lot of people out of a job.’

‘While other industries have been struggling during this time, Resthaven has continued to grow, and has reiterated the security of working in aged care – we aren’t going anywhere anytime soon!’

While job security is a huge plus for Robyn, she has a genuine love for the people of Resthaven Port Elliot.

‘The team here are vibrant and care about what they do, and most importantly, we feel supported and secure in each of our roles – which can be difficult to find.’
