    Knitted Blankets for the Homeless

Residents, staff and volunteers of Resthaven Aberfoyle Park are working together to knit warm knitted blankets for the homeless.

Working with donated wool, many people are contributing to the project, which has so far produced seven blankets and two scarves.

Lifestyle Coordinator, Michelle Hobbs, says, ‘The aim was to complete four blankets, but the group just kept on knitting!’

‘Residents often knit together in the hall, but continue knitting in their rooms, the communal areas, during art and craft, and in the ladies group.’

‘Participants say that this is their way to help others who are less fortunate.’

    ‘Well done, ladies!’
