Resthaven has introduced a number of additional fee-for-service options to the Lifestyle Choices Plus program.

Following the piloting trials of extra service options for purchase in 2017, a number of additional services are now available in Resthaven’s residential aged care homes.

Introduction of a range of extra options follows extensive feedback from residents, families and staff.

‘The additional options now available in residential services complement more than twenty years of offering private, fee paying services for people living in the community’, says Tina Cooper, Executive Manager Residential Services.

‘A booked companion service, using Resthaven staff, commenced mid-2017 across all sites. Residents and their families have been enthusiastically booking personally escorted outings for appointments, shopping, or for extra lifestyle related services.’

‘Our High Tea Service will now be expanded, to offer more variety in menu options, from a simple, basic menu through to a full High Tea Service with multiple choice selections for residents to enjoy with family and friends.’

‘A trial at one site of personalised, special exercise programs for individual residents, facilitated by a physiotherapist, is being introduced at other locations this year.’

‘In response to resident and family interest, additional catering options and specialised lifestyle activities that can be purchased are also being investigated for introduction this year.’

‘The feedback has been wonderful. And residents and family appreciate how these options enhance their lifestyles.’

‘Residents, family and friends can book any of the extra options via reception at any residential site. It’s a great idea for special occasions or gifts.’

Resthaven residential aged care homes are located at Bellevue Heights, Craigmore, Leabrook, Malvern, Marion, Mitcham, Murray Bridge, Mount Gambier, Paradise, Port Elliot and Westbourne Park. A new Resthaven at Aberfoyle Park is currently under construction.

Resthaven works together with older people and their carers throughout metropolitan Adelaide, the Adelaide Hills, Murraylands, Fleurieu, Barossa, Riverland and Limestone Coast of South Australia.
