    National Volunteer Week – 20-26 May 2019

At Resthaven, National Volunteer Week is an opportunity to celebrate the service so many give in working together with individuals and enriching their quality of life.

Resthaven Chief Executive Officer, Richard Hearn, says ‘At Resthaven, National Volunteer Week is an opportunity to celebrate the service so many give in working with individuals and supporting them in their need. Working together, volunteers contribute to their quality of life.

‘The activity of volunteers is very much local, and practical in relationships formed and giving of support. The essence is service and making a genuine contribution to the wellbeing of others.

‘Volunteers also share the rewards they personally receive in the various engagements with individuals – often saying they get as much back as they give.’

‘On behalf of Resthaven, thank you to all volunteers for making a real and tangible difference.’

Each year, Resthaven thanks volunteers with events across all locations. This year, the events have a Garden Party theme.
