The grand opening of Resthaven Aberfoyle Park is drawing near, with the twelfth Resthaven residential aged care home set to open in July 2018.

Scheduled to commence operations in July 2018, Resthaven Aberfoyle Park will provide high quality, residential aged care to around 100 older people, and employ approximately 100 local staff.

Resthaven Chief Executive Officer, Richard Hearn, says, ‘There’s a great deal of interest in the site as the building takes shape. It is hard to miss!’

‘Resthaven Aberfoyle Park, at 100 Hub Drive, will be a state-of-the-art aged care home, featuring all single rooms with ensuites, smart televisions, and courtyard views. There are several couples rooms, and premium suites with patios.’

‘Each area has dedicated dining and lounge areas. A hairdressing salon, shop, internet café, children’s play area, and secure landscaped areas with sensory gardens add to the community feel,’ says Richard.

‘The development also includes many environmentally responsible features, such as grey water recycling for garden watering, courtyards that maximise light, and energy efficient design features.’

‘As at all Resthaven residential homes, Resthaven Aberfoyle Park will also be equipped with a generator, to minimise disruption to residents in the event of power outage.’

Mia Brooks was appointed Manager in February, and is excited about the work ahead.

‘This is a fantastic opportunity to work in my local area, in our brand new, residential aged care home,’ she says.

‘I am looking forward to building a supportive and welcoming site community at Resthaven Aberfoyle Park.’

‘Applications are now being taken, and there is strong interest.’
