Resthaven’s eagerly anticipated new respite cottage, Aldinga House, has officially opened its doors for older people looking for a ‘seachange’ down south.
Mrs Patricia Griffin was thrilled to be invited as the first client to view the property, located at 18 Halcyon Circuit, Aldinga Beach, commenting on the coastal décor, and light, open feel of the home.
‘After looking around, I am excited to come here whenever I can!’
‘The neighbourhood is quiet, and friendly. I don’t often have the opportunity to go down to the beach, so this will be wonderful for a holiday.’
Managed by Resthaven Community Respite Services, this respite house is available for overnight respite, 7 days a week. Bookings are essential.
Day and overnight respite care is offered. Two well-equipped bedrooms offer an opportunity for a short break of up to two weeks, ideal when a carer needs time out for themselves.
Whether you’re longing for an overnight stay, or a social day out, Aldinga House is designed for the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Our favourite part? This quiet home setting is just a short drive to the iconic Aldinga Beach, where you can enjoy the sea air, walks or drives on the beach, and call in to a beach front café on your way back.
Book now for your first staycation, and take a well-deserved rest today.
Subsidised overnight and day respite is available for carers of older people through the Commonwealth Home Support Programme. Private and Home Care Package options are also available.
