Marion take on Bellevue Heights at Resthaven's Mini Commonwealth Games

In April, residents from Resthaven Bellevue Heights took on their counterparts from Resthaven Marion for their very own ‘mini’ Commonwealth Games.

The Resthaven Bellevue Heights team, the ‘BVH Giants,’ were a rowdy mob as they waited to be picked up by the trusty Resthaven bus, which took them to Resthaven Marion.

Once they arrived, the groups enjoyed games of mini putt-putt, shoot ’em down, ball toss, and more, as residents from both sites came together to enjoy a spirited afternoon of friendly competition.

Resthaven Bellevue Heights Manager Residential Services, Wendy Martin, says, ‘It was a fabulous afternoon, with all participants in the spirit of competition.’

In the end, Resthaven Bellevue Heights took out the day, with their team of sixteen delighted with the result.

Wendy says, ‘Well done to both Lifestyle Coordinators, Susan Klus (Bellevue) and Karen Neighbour (Marion), and their teams, who made it such a great day.’

‘There are already plans for ongoing competitions in the future.’

    ‘Watch this space!’
