Resthaven Modbury land leased

Resthaven has leased their land at 122 Smart Road, Modbury, to the Department of Infrastructure and Transport, to use as an alternative ‘park n ride’ location during the redevelopment of the Modbury O-Bahn station.

Resthaven CEO, Darren Birbeck, says, ‘We are in the very early stages of concept development for the block at Smart Road, which was purchased by Resthaven in December 2018.’

‘Current plans include a residential care home and retirement village.’

‘In the meantime, with the land vacant whilst building plans are being developed, we are pleased to be able to assist the local community with alternative parking while the State Department of Infrastructure and Transport upgrades the current park n ride adjacent to the O-Bahn.’

These arrangements will continue until the new car park is complete, currently targeted for June 2023.

Resthaven is currently focusing on major redevelopments at their Resthaven Bellevue Heights and Resthaven Westbourne Park residential homes, consistent with their commitment to high quality care and accommodation.
