Resthaven Staff Appreciation Awards celebrates 1,700 years of service

On July 7 at the Sage Hotel on South Terrace, more than 100 Resthaven employees celebrated around 1,700 years of combined service at the annual Resthaven Staff Appreciation Awards.

Topping the list is Resthaven Malvern Housekeeping Assistant, Lesley Wimbles, with an incredible 40 years on the job.

This is the fourth year in a row that a Resthaven staff member has reached their 40 year milestone.

The Staff Appreciation Awards, which have been held every year since 1993, honour Resthaven staff celebrating their employment milestones from ten years on, in increments of five.

This year, 108 Resthaven employees are eligible for awards – a record number.

Add to this, the famous Resthaven ‘25+ Club’ – made up of members who have served 25 years or more and are invited every year – and you have a record crowd in attendance!

Seats at the event are coveted by Resthaven Managers, Executive and Board, who present to their site staff.

Award recipients enjoyed a three course luncheon, along with a gift and certificate presentation by Deputy Board President, Ben Sarre, and CEO, Richard Hearn.
