Show Day at Resthaven Aberfoyle Park

In mid-September, the Resthaven Aberfoyle Park site community celebrated their annual ‘Show Day’.

Lifestyle Assistant, JoJo, says, ‘Even though the Royal Adelaide Show was cancelled, that wasn’t going to stop us from holding our own special event – with physical distancing and hygiene measures in place of course.’

‘The day was a great success; in the morning, residents participated in a variety of games, including bean bag toss, knock the cups, velcro darts, thread the string, quoits, and skittles.’

‘Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves, and there was lots of laughter.’

‘In the afternoon, staff and volunteers took their turn, adding a few more games to the mix, such as an egg and spoon race, musical chairs, and seeing how long they could walk whilst holding a balloon between their legs.’

‘Residents were delighted to act as judges in the staff games, determining the winners of the afternoon’s activities.’

‘The Resthaven Aberfoyle Park Show Day was lots of fun for our whole site community.’

‘Thank you to everyone who participated. We look forward to doing it again next year.’
