Social group clients surprise manager with latest project

Clients at Resthaven Onkaparinga Community Services have been thoroughly enjoying the Creative Connections Social Group, recently surprising the Manager, Manule Harpas, with one of their latest art projects.

Coordinator Community Services, Jodi Brabon, says, ‘The group have been having so much fun lately, and are constantly experimenting with different art techniques.’

‘More recently, they have been working on tie-dyeing clothing items, which they picked up quickly.’

The mischievous nature of the participants led them to a fun, but cheeky idea to take Manule’s spare shirts to work on.

‘Residents were giggling amongst themselves as they worked away to masterfully turn Manule’s plain, white shirt into something more fun.’

‘They couldn’t wait to present him with his stylish new shirt, waiting with bated breath for him to walk through the door.’

‘As soon as Manule walked in, they all held the shirt up, and he was instantly impressed by their work. We were even told that he wore his new shirt out to dinner that night!’

‘The group can’t wait to start their next project, as they discover something new.’

‘If you would like to find out how you can join in on the fun offered at Resthaven Onkaparinga Community Services, please call me on 8307 3700.’
