Spring has Sprung at Regency Cottage

Entering into spring, Resthaven Western Community Services is pleased to show off the recent fresh face-lift of Regency Cottage respite service, located at 111 Regency Road, Croydon Park.

‘I was tasked with the project, and am really happy with the result’, says Resthaven Western Community Services Coordinator, Jodi Brabon.

‘The interior décor has been updated with a cosy new look—luxurious cushions, ambient lighting, and bright cheerful artwork now adorns the walls.

‘Clients are loving the new look, and have made many comments about the improvements.

‘The rear garden has also been upgraded, with herbs and other plants thriving in the raised garden beds. Clients couldn’t be happier to add pottering in the garden to the variety of activities on offer.’

‘I am pleased with what I have achieved so far, but I’m not finished yet! I still have plans for a couple more updates, including replanting the front garden beds.’

‘We offer day respite at Regency Cottage for older people in who live in the Adelaide western metropolitan area, and who have low level care needs. We cater to people who have short term memory loss, and tailor activities according to each person’s preferences and choices.

‘Our respite programs are available Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm in groups of up to seven people. A two course lunch is included, and transport to and from the cottage can be arranged. An interactive social program is individualised for each client.
