Respite clients at Resthaven Western Community Services’ respite service, Regency Cottage, recently welcomed some really wild visitors!
Respite for carers of older people is considered an essential service, so Resthaven’s respite cottages continue their important support during the pandemic, with social distancing measures being adhered to.
By using Google Chrome on a compatible tablet or phone, they were able to place a three dimensional animal into their pictures.
Resthaven Western Community Services Coordinator, Jodi Brabon says, ‘Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, we have had to scale down and limit numbers at our beautiful respite cottage during this time.
‘But we are still finding creative ways to scale up the fun.’
‘Clients think our virtual visitors are amazing, and are having a ball trying them all out.’
