Vintage Bike Display for Men’s Health Week
Resthaven Malvern, 43 Marlborough Street, Malvern, is celebrating National Men’s Health Week (10-16 June) with a vintage motorcycle display by the Veteran and Vintage Motorcycle Club of South Australia.
The bikes will be on show on Wednesday 12 June from 10.30am – 2pm in the foyer, so that all Resthaven Malvern residents, staff, and volunteers can view them.
Invitations were also extended to the ‘Just Fellas’ and ‘Men on the Move’ groups run at Resthaven Community Respite Services and Resthaven Marion Community Services respectively.
Stephen Hooper, Resthaven Manager Corporate Services and member of the Veteran and Vintage Motorcycle Club of SA, is the driving force behind the display.
‘It will be a great day, and I am looking forward to giving residents the opportunity to view the bikes and chat with the owners,’ says Stephen.
‘Seeing the vintage bikes often prompts fond memories and reminiscence.’
‘Peak viewing time will be 11.30am, just after the blokes enjoy morning tea in the hall.’
‘I’ve been a member of the Vintage and Classics Motorcycle Club for 25 years, and I thought it would be a great idea to have them at Resthaven Malvern, so that all Resthaven Malvern residents, staff, and volunteers can view them. There are some wonderful examples being brought along by their proud owners.’
