Visiting Arrangements at Residential Aged Care Homes

    Visitors are welcome!

    • Unless it poses a health risk to our community, family involvement, and visits from relatives and friends, are supported and encouraged.
    • There are no set visiting hours, and visitors are welcome at any reasonable time. Children are always welcome under supervision.
    • When you visit, we ask that you take advantage of the gardens and outside courtyard areas where possible, weather permitting.
    • Please do not visit if you are feeling unwell.
    • If you plan to go for an outing with a resident, please remember to sign the resident in/out using the sign in/out sheet at reception.
    • We ask visitors to adhere to infection control measures where required, such as continuing to maintain frequent hand hygiene. There are plenty of hand-hygiene stations at each site.
    • Please follow staff instructions and notices.
    • Visitors are no longer required to be vaccinated against COVID-19 or Influenza, although it is strongly recommended due to the vulnerability of older people.
    • When visiting one of Resthaven’s residential aged care homes, we recommend that you undertake a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) prior to, or on entry. RATs and surgical masks are available at the entry to the site.
    • Visitors and staff are not required to wear a mask, unless there is a COVID-19 positive resident at the home.
    • If you test positive for COVID-19, you are not to visit for 7 days.

We thank you for your support and understanding.
