Volunteer dogs approve of ‘garden party’ theme

On 20 May, Resthaven Mount Gambier will celebrate volunteers with a ‘garden party’ at the home at 24 Elizabeth Street, Mount Gambier.

All volunteers with Resthaven Mt Gambier, both human and of the canine variety, are welcomed. At last year’s event we were joined by a group of 5 dogs with their volunteer owners.

Manager Volunteer Services, Stacey Thompson, says, ‘In May we take time out to really celebrate and thank volunteers for their ‘thyme’ and ‘commit-mint’ and the difference this makes in the lives of people at Resthaven.’ Volunteers help us bloom.

‘We have a different theme every year.’

‘We are sure our canine volunteers will approve of this year’s Garden Party theme!’

‘Two regulars, Airi and Amato, recently visited with their humans, Lee and Ian, along with Resthaven CEO, Richard Hearn.’

‘Richard was delighted to meet the volunteers, canine and human alike.’

‘He also commented on the warm and welcoming atmosphere of Resthaven Mount Gambier, made all the more so by the volunteer community.’
