Today, Monday 1 June, we welcome Darren Birbeck to the role of Resthaven Chief Executive Officer.
Darren’s appointment follows the retirement of Richard Hearn after 34 years with Resthaven, 27 of those as CEO.
Darren holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Master’s in Business Administration, is a Fellow of the Certified Practising Accountants Association of Australia and Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Previously, Darren was General Manager of Corporate Services with ECH (formerly Elderly Citizens Homes) in South Australia. He has also worked in local government as General Manager Corporate Services with the City of Charles Sturt.
He served on the Resthaven Board from 2016 to 2018, spending one year as Treasurer, before taking up the position of Executive Manager Governance and Corporate Services in January 2019.
