Positive Testimonials from the Resthaven Community

In 2020, Resthaven has supported older people and their carers for more than 85 years.

Over the years, many things have changed. However, our commitment to supporting older people and their carers has never wavered. We stay true to the original vision of our founders.

Since 1935, many hardships have been overcome, and more will be encountered in the future.

As the world lives through the COVID-19 pandemic, we reflect on the positive impact Resthaven has had on South Australian families. This short film conveys some of their comments.

CEO, Richard Hearn, says, ‘We feel very optimistic about our ability to support the older people who have invited us into their lives.’

‘I personally would like to acknowledge the privilege it is to work in the aged care sector.’

‘Of all the things I’d really love the community to recognise is the incredibly significant contribution that staff and volunteers make in supporting frail, older individuals at their time of need.’

‘To provide care when and where it is needed is so important; an honour and privilege.’

Celebrating 85 years in 2020, Resthaven Incorporated is a not for profit, South Australian aged care community service associated with the Uniting Church.

Every day, Resthaven shares the lives and wisdom of around 10,000 older people and their carers, working together to provide outstanding care and support.
