My biggest challenge while studying is making ends meet financially. The scholarship covered my transport to go to school, paid my bills while undergoing placement, and paid for needed schoolbooks which I could not afford. I would like to express my warmest thank you to the donors who help fund my scholarship. I hope that in the near future, I can make a positive difference in the lives of our elderly.

The Resthaven [Undergraduate Indigenous Nursing] Scholarship made it possible for me to support my family while I studied.
I would like to thank the donors so much for this support which is helping me finish my degree. I appreciate this so much. I intend to make big positive changes in the healthcare received by all individuals.

Resthaven congratulates Arun Thomas – 2019 Victorian Young Achiever of the Year!

Arun Thomas was a recipient of the inaugural Resthaven 75th Anniversary Undergraduate Nursing Scholarships at the University of South Australia in 2010. Resthaven is proud of Arun’s ongoing successful aged care career.

This scholarship has given me the freedom and peace of mind to enjoy placements both locally and away, without having to stress about funding accommodation and food, as well as other necessities required for my future career and study. I will be forever thankful for your generosity.
