    Statement of Purpose

Working together: outstanding care and support for older people and their carers.

    Board
The well qualified and experienced Resthaven Board is responsible for good governance and high ethical standards.

    Executive
Resthaven’s executive team of highly skilled professionals are led by Chief Executive Officer, Richard Hearn.

    History
In the early years of South Australia’s settlement, services for the elderly were very limited. Resthaven was established by the Methodist Church in 1935, during the Great Depression, when many frail elderly people relied on Christian charity to survive.

    Multiculturalism and Diversity
Resthaven is a richly diverse South Australian community founded on the principles of inclusion and unity, embracing and respecting each person’s beliefs, culture, language, background, lifestyle, life experiences and values.

    Research and Innovation
We take corporate social responsibility seriously; adding value to the Australian community by sponsoring and undertaking research and innovative projects. Learn more.

    Sustainable Development
We recognise the importance of our contribution, and take responsibility for enhancing the community and environment. Find out more.
