In the early years of South Australia’s settlement, services for the elderly were very limited. Resthaven was established by the Methodist Church in 1935, during the Great Depression, when many frail elderly people relied on Christian charity to survive.

The well qualified and experienced Resthaven Board is responsible for good governance and high ethical standards.

Resthaven’s executive team of highly skilled professionals are led by Chief Executive Officer, Darren Birbeck.
