85th Anniversary Celebrations at Resthaven Craigmore

On Friday 28 August, Resthaven Craigmore celebrated Resthaven’s 85th anniversary year with a birthday party at the home at 200 Adams Road, Craigmore.

Manager, Jane Perry, says, ‘Residents celebrated Resthaven’s milestone birthday with a festive party in the Hall, whilst still of course practicing all the appropriate physical distancing and COVID-safe measures.’

‘The room was beautifully decorated by the Lifestyle team in Resthaven’s colours of red and navy blue.’

‘A photographic display of the history of Resthaven Craigmore depicted how things have changed over the years, starting with the opening of the home in 2004, and leading up to the current day.’

‘Entertainer, Richard McDonald, wowed the audience, singing well-known favourites that were thoroughly enjoyed by all.’

‘There was plenty of laughter when Richard brought out his ukulele and kilt apron, and again when the staff team got up to dance!’

‘Two very special guests attended the event: Mrs Joyce Jeffree (who turns 85 in September 2020) and Mrs Beryl Byrne (who turns 85 in November 2020). We thought that it was only fitting that they were the guests of honour, seeing as they share Resthaven’s birthday year!’

Resthaven was founded in May 1935, and now supports thousands of older people with a range of in-home care, retirement living, and residential aged care across metropolitan Adelaide, the Adelaide Hills, Murraylands, Riverland, Barossa, Fleurieu Peninsula and the Limestone Coast.
