Unley Legends nominated in the 17th Annual Leadership Excellence Awards

    We’re getting excited!

On Friday 6 April, Resthaven will join the City of Unley at the Local Government Professionals Australia, SA, 17th Annual Leadership Excellence Gala Awards Dinner, where we will wait with bated breath to see if our joint project, ‘Unley Legends’ can bring home an award!

‘Unley Legends’ was a 2017 co-sponsored initiative between Resthaven and City of Unley, where older people living in the Unley area were interviewed and filmed to create short films promoting positive ageing.

Two Resthaven residents, Mrs Noreen Bray (Resthaven Malvern) and Rev Elwyn Penna (Resthaven Malvern Independent Retirement Living Units) participated in the project. They were joined at the premiere, held at the Capri Cinema, by around 150 guests, comprising the other ‘legends,’ friends, family, and City of Unley and Resthaven representatives.

‘Unley Legends’ is nominated in the ‘Community Partnerships and Collaboration’ category.

    Fingers crossed!
