Resthaven: Volunteering

Volunteering has been at the heart of Resthaven from the very
beginning– the dream and vision that started in 1935.

The first practical outcome occurred when Mrs Annie Pearce and Reverend
John Pearce took an elderly lady into their care at their home.

Resthaven volunteers are integral to providing services for residents and
clients. They make a real difference in providing that extra level of care
and support. Resthaven acknowledges and values the skills, knowledge,
time and commitment of volunteers. Volunteers contribute to the achievement of Resthaven’s vision and mission in providing support that promotes independence, community involvement, dignity and integrity.

Resthaven is committed to people, the people we help, the people we employ and the people who help others by giving their valuable time to volunteer.
