    Overview

    Resthaven Murray Bridge, Hills & Fleurieu Community Services offers respite in a supportive, relaxed, home-style environment at Newland House, just a short stroll from the foreshore at Victor Harbor.

    Newland House is available for day and overnight respite. Two well-equipped bedrooms offer an opportunity for a short break of up to two weeks, ideal when a carer needs time out for themselves.

    Home-cooked meals and individually designed activities are tailored to each guest. Transport to and from the cottage can be arranged, if required.

    Whether you’re looking for an overnight stay, or a social day out, Newland House is the perfect place to have a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

    Subsidised overnight and day respite is available for carers of older people through the Commonwealth Home Support Programme. Private and Home Care Package options are also available.

    Eligibility

    A My Aged Care referral number is required to access community respite services. Respite is available for carers who live in the Murraylands, Adelaide Hills and Fleurieu Peninsula who care for frail older people with low level care needs, including those with short term memory loss.
