Resthaven is proud to be the major sponsor of Parkinson’s SA inaugural ‘Parkinson’s Walkathon’.

The event is to be held on Sunday 7 April, in the Soldiers Memorial Gardens, Unley Road, Unley, followed with a family fun day in the park. The aim is to raise funds to support Parkinson’s SA, and as Resthaven supports many people who live with Parkinson’s disease, we believe it is a worthy cause.

The day is for friends, family and supporters of people living with Parkinson’s to come and show their support. The day also raises much-needed donations that ensure that Parkinson’s SA can continue to offer vital support, counselling, seminar, recreational and support group.

With registrations open from 8.45am, the 1km walkathon will begin at 9.15am. The walk is mobility-friendly, and we will be escorted by SA Police with volunteers also along the track to assist. It will be followed by a family fun day, from 10am to 2pm, which will feature market and information stalls, food, live music, art and craft, and plant sales.

Parkinson’s SA and Resthaven will also have information stalls, where staff will be available to answer your questions about the services available.
