• Resthaven Excellence Awards

The Resthaven Excellence Awards recognise and reward the contribution of volunteers and employees who live our values. Finalists from each category were invited to the Resthaven Excellence Awards on 1 March 2024, where the winner of each award was announced.

Message from the Chief Executive Officer

Thank you for your ongoing support of the inaugural 2024 Resthaven Excellence Awards.

We received an overwhelming number of nominations with more than 1,100 submissions made by staff, volunteers, customers and their representatives. It was truly inspiring to read the personal stories and gratitude for the positive impact that our people have on shaping culture and the customer experience. Well done!

Every staff member, volunteer, team and leader who was nominated has received a Letter of Commendation jointly signed by Mark Porter, Board President and myself. This demonstrates the importance that Resthaven places on recognising and acknowledging the work of our people, and forms the basis of why we launched the Resthaven Excellence Awards (REA).

With over 550 nominations received from customers, we extended the Customer Experience Award category to enable two individual awards – one Residential Services Customer Experience Award and another dedicated to Community Services Customer Experience Award. All customers who made nominations received a letter of thanks.

It has been a difficult process to select Finalists for each category, as all our people are worthy of being acknowledged and recognised for their commitment and contributions. On this occasion, the following nominees were selected as Finalists and invited to attend the inaugural Resthaven Excellence Awards dinner, held at the Wolf Blass Centre, Morphettville, on Friday 1 March 2024. The award recipients in each category were announced on the night.

Clients/residents/family members who nominated staff in the Resthaven Customer Experience Award categories were also invited to attend the dinner, where they were joined by members of the Resthaven Board, Executive Management and management representatives to celebrate their achievements.

We are very grateful to the sponsors of the Resthaven Excellence Awards event, and we thank them for their support:

Gold Sponsor: Pro Paint ’n Panel & Rightway Automotive

    Silver Sponsor: CMI Toyota

    Bronze Sponsor: Salute Better Solutions

It is an honour to celebrate our people and recognise the valuable contribution of so many people from across various services and areas. We look forward to capturing the essence of the evening and sharing stories and photos from the Resthaven Excellence Awards ceremony with you.

Thank you once again for your ongoing commitment to living our values and the provision of customer service excellence.

    Kind regards,

    Darren Birbeck
