    Graduate opportunities at Resthaven—Solomon’s story

Graduate opportunities within Resthaven continue to grow, with a focus on Information and Communications Technology (ICT) internships—having hosted 15 interns since April 2021.

Master of Business Information Systems graduate, Solomon Ebomah, recently transitioned from an internship with Resthaven to full-time employment with the ICT team.

Solomon says, ‘I successfully completed my Bachelor of Mathematics back home in Nigeria, West Africa, and applied for a study visa in Australia to continue my post-graduate studies.’

‘In 2018, once I received my visa, I commenced my Master of Business at Flinders University for one semester, before transferring to Torrens University, finishing up in 2020 with my Master of Business Information Systems.’

In September 2021, Solomon was offered a 12-week internship with Resthaven’s Information and Technology department after undertaking a Professional Year program with Performance Education.

‘After completing my internship, Resthaven offered me a casual position and subsequently full-time employment—a condition required in applying for permanent residency in Australia.’

With Resthaven’s continued support, Solomon is hopeful to be granted his Permanent Resident Visa soon.

‘Resthaven has been incredibly supportive and, without a doubt, a great environment for me to work in.’

‘I couldn’t be more thankful and appreciative of being part of this great organisation.’

Solomon’s story adds to other examples of how Resthaven supports graduates to achieve their career goals, oftentimes leading to permanent employment in a secure industry.
