    Asian Populations seminar Resthaven 23062017On 23 June, Resthaven’s Head Office will host a seminar that focuses on caring for elderly Asian and Chinese people.

    Sponsored by Flinders University’s School of Nursing and Midwifery, the seminar will be presented by Professor Iris Chi, of the University of Southern California (USC).

    Professor Chi is Chinese-American Golden Age Association/Frances Wu Chair for the Chinese Elderly, and Director of the China Program, Edward R Roybal Institute on Aging, Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work, USC.

    ‘Professor Chi is an expert in health and gerontology, with many years’ experience in teaching and research’, says Wendy Morey, Executive Manager, Workforce Development and Governance.

    ‘She has authored many book chapters and articles.’

    ‘Her experience with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) older people will contribute to an engaging and informative seminar with a particular focus on the multicultural workforce and its engagement with people ageing in a foreign land.’
